Hi, I’m Reggie. I grew up with stuttering but have since transformed my speaking abilities to achieve great levels of fluency.
My mission is to help people embrace their stutter and celebrate their unique voice every moment.
The outcome of my work reaches far beyond overcoming stuttering. I ignite the inner flame within people, enabling them to express their authentic selves freely and confidently. My influence helps people tap into their true potential and live enriched lives.
My Journey to Fluent Speaking and Self-Love
How did I shift from consistently stuttering to speaking fluently and loving my voice? The answer isn't straightforward or quick, but it’s rooted in several key moments and actions in my life.
In my mid-20s, I visited several speech therapists who taught me speech and breathing techniques. These professionals provided much-needed support.
However, the pivotal moment came during my bachelor’s degree in engineering. I felt an internal voice wanting me to address my stutter, knowing it was holding me back.
Experimentation and Personal Growth
Choosing engineering seemed like a good career choice to avoid speaking frequently and earn respect, but it wasn't true to my authentic self.
After completing my degree, I decided not to pursue engineering but instead to focus on improving my speech and exploring my newfound passion for online marketing.
Over the next few years, while learning about online marketing, I experimented with my speech through various jobs requiring communication. I started with door-to-door knocking, then sales photography, and eventually spent four years in a call center.
The Transformation Period
During my six years in customer service and sales, I noticed phases of fluent speech and stuttering. Fluent conversations gradually became more frequent and longer.
It was during this period, especially my four years in the call center, that I identified patterns in my speech but didn’t fully understand why some days were better than others.
Even though I did exposure therapy, it was not enough.
Unlocking the Missing Piece
Experimentation, tracking my speech, and engaging in personal development, spirituality, learning about nutrition, and meditation were crucial. Meditation particularly helped me gain insights into myself.
By the time I left the call center, my confidence and speech had improved significantly, but something was still missing. I experienced relapses and fluctuating self-esteem but felt close to a breakthrough.
That breakthrough came when I discovered Chase Gills. His teachings on vulnerability and self-love regarding stuttering provided the missing piece. I took a course from him that added in the missing piece to my approach to stuttering, for which I am profoundly grateful.
Living Authentically Today
Today, I am someone who embraces life fully and empowers others to do the same. I celebrate each moment and every part of me including my voice.
My life continues to be filled with the freedom to express myself and build meaningful connections effortlessly.
My mission is to help people with stuttering embrace their voice, celebrate their lives, and live fully in every moment.
